Many current predictive analytic solutions still only use rules based systems or algorithms, requiring manual selection of which algorithms are best, or modifying rules on a continuous basis to keep the model calibrated.

Prospero determined that automating the selection of algorithms, as well as the automation of the model maintenance and improvements, is critical to keep the model optimally up to date. This also takes the guess work out of which algorithms and rules to apply.

With data growing exponentially, and the need to incorporate and consider as much data as possible to get the best accurate predictions it seems an uphill task to connect, retrieve and analyse the large amounts of data in an efficient way to deal with time sensitive pressures that come with critical incident alerts.
